Refrigeration Mechanics

Qualified Refrigeration Mechanics required for residential and commercial HVAC work across Adelaide, including installation, commissioning, servicing, breakdown diagnosis and repairs across ducted, split, packaged and mechanical systems.

Install, commission, service and repair ducted reverse cycle, split, packaged and commercial air conditioning systems
Diagnose electrical, refrigerant, airflow, condensate, control and operational faults
Complete pressure testing, leak detection, evacuation, charging and system performance checks
Work from plans, service reports and job management systems to complete compliant, high-quality work

Residential & Commercial Service Technicians

Experienced HVAC Service Technicians required for scheduled maintenance, reactive breakdowns and fault diagnosis across residential homes, commercial buildings and multi-site clients.

Service and repair reverse cycle, split, ducted, evaporative and commercial HVAC systems
Carry out scheduled maintenance, filter changes, coil cleaning, airflow checks and operational testing
Diagnose system faults and recommend repairs, replacement parts or upgrade options
Liaise with customers, site contacts, apprentices and internal service coordinators

HVAC Technicians

Hands-on HVAC Technicians required to work across heating, cooling, ventilation, controls and mechanical services, supporting installation, commissioning, maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial sites.

Service, maintain and repair HVAC plant, ducted systems, split systems and mechanical ventilation equipment
Perform diagnostics across electrical, mechanical, airflow, drainage and control components
Support installation, commissioning and maintenance works across varied residential and commercial sites
Follow WHS requirements, site procedures and technical documentation to deliver reliable system outcomes

Air Conditioning Installers

Experienced installers required for residential and commercial air conditioning installation projects, including ducted reverse cycle, split systems, evaporative cooling, pipework, ductwork, outlets, controls and commissioning support.

Install ducted systems, split systems, evaporative coolers, pipework, ductwork, outlets and controls
Read plans, mark out installation requirements and coordinate with builders, trades and site supervisors
Complete rough-ins, fit-offs, outdoor unit placement, condensate drainage and commissioning support
Maintain high installation standards across new homes, existing homes, apartments and commercial sites

Gas Fitters

Qualified Gas Fitters required for gas heating service, preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs and installation across residential and light commercial sites, including ducted gas heating, gas fireplaces, flues, pipework and associated controls.

Diagnose, service and repair ducted gas heaters, gas fireplaces, burners, fans, valves, ignition systems and controls
Carry out preventative maintenance, combustion checks, carbon monoxide testing, gas pressure testing and compliance reporting
Install and replace gas ducted heating systems, flues, gas pipework, regulators, ductwork connections and controllers
Complete fault reports, recommend parts or replacement options, and liaise with customers, apprentices and service coordinators

Apprentice Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Technician

Simmonds Heating & Cooling is looking for motivated apprentices who want to build a career in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. This is a hands-on role working alongside qualified technicians across residential, commercial and service projects throughout Adelaide.

Assist with installation, servicing and maintenance of ducted, split system, evaporative and commercial air conditioning systems
Learn trade skills across pipework, ductwork, controls, commissioning support, fault finding and preventative maintenance
Support qualified technicians with tools, materials, site preparation, equipment handling and safe work practices
Develop technical knowledge, customer service skills and on-site experience across varied HVAC projects
