Since starting Simmonds Heating and Cooling in 2006 Mark has always been the heart, the soul and driving force of Simmonds.
Mark believes that the culture of Simmonds and the team within is what has made the difference between Simmonds and it’s competitors.
A tradie at heart, you’ll often find Mark out on the tools training apprentices and ensuring the quality of work is second to none. Mark oversees the day to day operations of residential install, commercial and the Simmonds service team and is extremely proud of Simmonds and the growth that the team have experienced together.
In his spare time Mark loves to restore old cars, ride motor bikes, enjoys fishing and camping but most of all spending time with his two young boys.
Craig Potter is an experienced and well known leader in the HVAC and electrical industry in Adelaide, and is our General Manager.
With a career spanning over 30 years, including senior roles at Actron Air, Rexel, and Clipsal/Schneider, Craig is a genuine leader in the Air Conditioning industry in Adelaide.
Craig is known for his hands-on leadership and customer-focused approach. Our GM is also a passionate car enthusiast who enjoys restoring classic cars in his spare time.
Brett has a wealth of experience in the installation of residential and commercial Air Conditioning systems. Brett is responsible for managing complete installations as per quality standards, managing installation team members, maintaining & implementing all trades installation procedures, managing performance and work quality and ensuring workplace safety compliance (OHS).
Jarrad began his apprenticeship with Simmonds Heating & Cooling in 2008 as Mark’s first apprentice and has grown into a highly valued Project Manager within our Commercial division.
With almost 20 years’ experience, Jarrad is known for his high-quality workmanship, calm approach and ability to keep complex commercial projects on track.
He manages mechanical services across nursing homes, schools and apartment developments, while also mentoring apprentices and developing tradespeople within the commercial team.
Sarah oversees the Service, HR and Administration teams, ensuring Simmonds customers receive the highest level of service and support.
With a background in intensive care nursing and child protection, Sarah brings compassion, resilience and strong people skills to her role as Managing Partner.
She is passionate about maintaining Simmonds’ culture of old-fashioned service, genuine care and a happy, dedicated team.
For Sarah, a family business is about more than air conditioning — it is about creating an extended family of staff and customers who support, encourage and look out for each other.
Tracey joined the team in 2021, as Simmonds’ Chief Financial Officer. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting from the University of South Australia and has over 15 years’ experience in providing accounting and financial services in Adelaide and Port Lincoln. Tracey oversees the day-to-day financial operations of Simmonds, prepares financial statements and reports, and monitors compliance with laws and regulations.
Simon has over 15 year experience providing sustainable and intelligent solutions for construction industry applications, specialising in Mechanical services. Simon holds an Advanced Diploma, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineering Technology, has completed a 3-year Engineering Cadetship whilst working at Frigrite Air Conditioning and continues to study part-time in his final year of a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics (Honours) at University of South Australia.
Joseph brings a wealth of industry knowledge and a genuine passion for helping customers find the right heating and cooling solutions. Before joining the team at Simmonds Heating & Cooling, he worked in the HVAC manufacturing industry, specialising in system design. This technical background gives him a strong understanding of how systems are engineered and allows him to recommend solutions that are practical, efficient, and tailored to each home.
Sam’s Sam thrives on helping clients achieve their goals through tailored solutions. With years of experience as an Account Manager, Sam is dedicated to fostering strong relationships and ensuring every project aligns perfectly with client needs. Whether it’s collaborating on innovative design concepts or managing client expectations, Sam’s goal is to provide an outstanding experience from start to finish.
With almost 20 years’ experience in the air conditioning industry, Les is passionate about helping customers choose the right heating and cooling solution for their home.
Les believes there is no one-size-fits-all approach. He takes the time to understand each family’s needs, lifestyle and budget before making a recommendation. Les helps make the process simple and ensures customers feel confident in their decision.With over 20 years’ experience in wholesale air conditioning and HVAC distribution, Brendan brings extensive industry knowledge across sales, supply and management.
Brendan works closely with trade customers to understand their projects, recommend the right products and provide practical solutions that make the job easier.
With a strong focus on service, product knowledge and long-term relationships, Brendan is committed to helping trade customers get the right solution, every time.
Nick joined Simmonds Heating & Cooling after graduating from Adelaide University with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management and Economics.
As part of the commercial team, Nick works across mechanical estimating and project coordination. Under the guidance of senior estimators, he has quickly developed his skills and become a valued contributor to the delivery of commercial HVAC projects.
Jose is a mechanical engineer with over 10 years’ experience in HVAC and MEP design.
Jose has led heating, cooling and building-services work on major hospitals and large residential projects, including Passivhaus-standard buildings.(ultra-low energy structures maintaining comfortable temperatures year-round using minimal heating or cooling)
Jose brings that design background to practical, efficient heating and cooling for commercial clients across Adelaide.
Ashwin is a Project Coordinator at Simmonds Heating & Cooling, supporting the successful delivery of commercial HVAC projects across a range of sectors.
With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Ashwin combines technical knowledge with strong organisational and communication skills. He works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and project teams to coordinate documentation, schedules and project activity, helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Tara is the team’s Administration Manager and oversees key areas of the service team, including scheduling, bookings and day-to-day office coordination.
Tara is a trusted member of the Simmonds team and a true all-rounder who plays an important role in supporting both customers and staff, helping keep the office running smoothly.
